19jenh82: i just recently bought a 2009 galant sport 2 months ago. it's a really nice car. drives really good, looks great. many people have come up to me to ask about it and to tell me how pretty it is. its black on black the wheels are different then the one on this video, more sport looking. it has many added features from the previous owner who added everyone possible. sticker price she paid was 27,640. i wish it was more up to date with technology though. love the heated seats

coolerdude44: vaguy78 i speak in past tense because mazda ruined the car for the 2008 redesign.	coolerdude44: vaguy78 no, but more gears does equate to better mpg at higher speeds, better real world acceleration, and a smoother ride. i owned a 2006 altima with a 4 speed automatic, and it was horribly jerky, and i only averaged 23 mpg while owning it, which is pretty terrible. to be honest, i don't see the appeal of the galant or the altima. they're low quality and they're not sporty, nor are they comfortable. the only competitor that blends or shall i say, blended these together was the mazda 6.
parsley0120: i wasn't talking in terms of gas mileage.. i was talking in the terms of acceleration. and the 4 speed autos are outdated at this day and age. i don't recall saying in my comment that it didn't get good gas mileage.	vaguy78: if this review is to be believed then they got 34 mpg highway. name another 4 cylinder mid sized car that gets that good mileage. more gears doesn't necessarily mean better mpg.

ralph0722: my sister has a 2004 galant de with 95k original owner and that car is the most reliable car my sis has driven ever. our dad had a 1998 mirage original owner kept the car for 10yrs and 210k on the odo. i had also a 98 mirage kept it for 9 years sold it with 145k and got a 2006 lancer se now has 55k. so whoever said mitsubishi is unreliable are very wrong. mitsubishi is being part of our family for decades and we take good care of them and they take good care of us. all comes down to maintenance	spritz0: maybe 4 to 5 years ago, they got that problem completely fixed all heavy duty trannies now...
bg1379: i had no idea they were such a good value in times like these, that matters a lot.	rudolphna54: whoops, mine was quite a poor post. what i mean was, mitsubishi's transmissions are very bad, almost as bad as chryslers.
mpgomatic: there are some nice design touches, including the rims and the steering wheel. love the stealthy, behind the wheel, audio controls. the black wood interior trim and asymmetrical center console are quite different.	mpgomatic: i'd like to spend some time with the v6 galant ralliart one of these days ... need to do the lancers first ...
bajabusta: not a bad looking car to be honest, but far outclassed by others both asian and domestic.	bamac2008: i like the galant a lot, its very good looking, but not competitive, a very anonymous midsized sedan. i think if mitsubishi doesn't do something quick, there won't be a galant anymore.

bg1379: wait what you would take a toyota or hyundai over the mitsubishi is what i'd assume you meant. there are no major transmission problems with toyota 4 cyl or hyundai 4 cyl. and chrysler transmissions, along with fords infamous 4 speed, do have transmission problems. i think you are misinformed.	shawtiee1085: wow this car took 10 seconds to 60mph. i think you are better off getting a toyota camry four cylinder which probally gets better gas mileage and has a lot more power.
chrisiztheman1618: nissan ftw	rudolphna54: i would take a toyota or hyundai or a mitsu, they are unreliable, the transmissions are worse less reliable than even chryslers. the valve guides on these dry out and crack with alarming quickness.
